Lego-ified Philly - Mapping Graphics

There are many different ways to style a map. When you consider what's possible beyond just data visualization you can really go wild and start creating more attention grabbing illusions. Nowadays, there are many different techniques to lego-ify a map. I just followed the steps in this blog to see what I could come up with for Philly:

1. Beginning with a branded aerial map of Philadelphia.

2. Re-scale and capture pixels in Photoshop.

3. Convert lego image to PNG and apply to pixels.

4. Increase photo saturation and export as jpeg
